The photos in this page show horizontal flower arrangements that were designed and made in the classroom of California Flower Art Academy during real lessons under the instructions of our flower arranging teachers. While above arrangements were Western Style Arrangements, Ikebana introduced in the YouTube video (below) is a Japanese traditional floral art.
As the saying goes, what one likes, one will do well. Namely if you like floral arrangements, you can be a good floral designer. The most important factor for you to be a successful floral designer COULD be the fact that you love flowers and like floral arrangement. On top of that one more very important factor in order for you to be successful as a floral designer is the fact that you are very enthusiastic to earn flower arranging skills.
Our step by step instructions as well as hands on training of ONE ON ONE instructions will greatly help you earn a practical flower arranging skills. If you are really eager to earn a decent skill, it is mandatory for you to continue to learn for a certain period of time. Then how long does "a certain period of time" mean ? It is different from person to person. Some people are very task oriented but some are not. Some people are inherently very skillful. But some are not.
To make a story short, in order to really earn a decent level of floral arrangements, it is highly recommended to learn and study at least two (2) years. Needless to say just attending one day seminar is not enough at all to earn a practical floral design skill. Attending a ONE DAY SEMINAR must be a good experience that MAY give you a kind of chance or trigger for you to have more interest in floral arranging.
