Ikebana Arrangement Elementary Course
Ikebana Arrangement Elementary Course Ikebana is a Japanese traditional floral art with a long history behind that. The way of making Ikebana arrangement is a little bit different from that of European floral designs. Not only the arranging method but also the items used for arrangement is different. Concretely speaking they use what is called "Kenzan" instead of floral foam . Kenzan is a frog or needle point holder to hold flowers. Another items used for Ikebana is what is called "Suiban". They often use Suiban instead of regular vase/container. Suiban is a shallow type container specifically designed for Ikebana arrangement.
By joining Ikebana Arrangement Elementary Course, students become familiar with how to use Kenzan and Suiban and at the same time they will learn basic skills of Ikebana arrangement.
